In November, the Church invites us to look at two realities that are linked: Saints and the Dead.
Saints are those who have already reached the full embrace of God. Their lives remind us that holiness is not for a select few, but for all.for everyone. They are light on our path, proof that loving God is worthwhile.
The Deceased are those who have gone before us on the journey. We haven’t forgotten them;we entrust them to the Lord.
His memory is not absence, it is a presence that remains in the heart. In God there is no forgetting: the names that death bit here are writings in the sky.
The Saints encourage us from victory; the Deceased need us from hope. Some show usWhere are we going?; the others remind us where we come from.
Joining hands in memory and faith, we say today: Lord, make us holy, and receive into your peace those we love.
