As a place of remembrance of THE APPARITION OF CHANDAVILA, a pilgrimage center and a space for studying the message of Our Lady of Sorrows, the Shrine of Chandavila has a large team of collaborators who, in a wide variety of roles, contribute to the specific mission entrusted to it.
The Rector’s Office is the highest executive body of the Chandavila Sanctuary, made up of the Rector, Senior Brother of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows, Administrator, Management Team and other collaborators integrated in it to assist the Rector in his mission of governing and administering the Sanctuary, general coordination, strategic planning and institutional representation.
The mission of the Pilgrim Reception Department is to serve those who come to the Shrine, assisting in the preparation of pilgrimages and visits, welcoming pilgrims, and providing support in learning about the Chandavila Message, the space, the activities, and the various organizations at the Shrine.
The Liturgy Department serves the celebratory dimension of the Shrine and its mission to be a privileged place for the proclamation of the Word of God, for the community celebration of faith, especially in the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation, in the promotion of Eucharistic adoration and in the practice of acts of piety. This department has the mission of supervising the liturgical celebrations and exercises of piety of the Shrine, planning the celebrations in their various elements, coordinating the action of all those involved, preparing the supporting material texts, taking care of the celebratory spaces, the liturgical implements and the vestments.
The Department of Charitable Action embodies various expressions of charity within its Christian mission, emphasizing assistance to the socially disadvantaged, providing material comfort to pilgrims, and providing primary health care.
The Economic and Financial Department has the mission of providing the services necessary for the management of the economic, financial, and heritage resources of the Chandavila Sanctuary. It is responsible for preparing the budget and ensuring its execution, preparing the economic and financial report, performing accounting, managing the treasury, and stimulating the economic activity of products and publications.
